Work is to start on proposals to build a new skatepark at Portishead Lake Grounds – after it was declared as the favoured site for a new facility in the town.
The beauty spot – described as the jewel in North Somerset’s crown – was revealed as the preferred site for a new facility in the results of a survey by Portishead Wheels and Skate Park (WASP).
WASP members have run a series of pop up skate parks and consultation sessions across the town over the summer.
